Located on a sun-drenched hill above the Kuja bay in the south of Istria, Ližnjan is the perfect place for everyone who wants a peaceful vacation and enjoyment of nature. It is the seat of the municipality, which in addition to Ližnjan consists of the following four settlements: Šišan, Jadreški, Muntić and Valtura. The whole area is covered with recognizable fragrant yellow fields of brnistre, which makes it even more special and attractive. On the 28 km long coast there are numerous untouched sand and pebble beaches, perfect for rest and relaxation for visitors of all ages. The place also has a rich historical background, as evidenced by the well-known sites of more than 7,000-year-old remains of Roman villas and other buildings. The population is mainly engaged in fishing and agriculture, but recently also in tourism, which is not surprising considering that Liznjan has a lot to offer.
